Jamie began her career at Fleishman-Hillard focusing on media and analyst relations. Starting as an intern and progressing to Vice President over the 11 years she spent at the agency Jamie oversaw the day-to-day and strategic planning for key agency clients including Bumble Bee Foods and IBM subsidiary, Sterling Commerce.

Jamie was the lead on a national food recall crisis in 2007 for Bumble Bee Foods subsidiary Castleberry’s. During the multi-month recall Jamie helped to shape the national media strategy with a focus on limiting the exposure of parent company Bumble Bee Foods while still providing key education and resources to the public. The team was successful as Bumble Bee Foods experienced no negative impact on their brand and the media reported favorably on the recall and the company’s efforts to alert and educate the consumer. For her work on this crisis Jamie and her team won numerous awards including the industry’s highest honor, a Silver Anvil for Crisis Communications.

During her work with other high profile clients including Kyocera Wireless, Sterling Commerce, and IBM Jamie worked closely with company executives to create strategic media relations plans. From launching the first smart phone in the early 00’s to helping IBM subsidiary Sterling Commerce step into the area of social media Jamie has helped clients take their often complex messages and translate them into bylines and sound bites that consumers and media can easily understand.

When a key client was acquired by IBM Jamie left Fleishman-Hillard to follow the client and began working with Text 100, IBM’s agency of record. During her time with Text 100 Jamie focused solely on Sterling Commerce and IBM, launching IBM’s “Smarter Commerce” concept. The idea was launched with great fanfare garnering over 1 million impressions with headlines in the top business and daily publications.

During her career Jamie has worked with reporters at major consumer and business publications to secure positive coverage of her client’s products and campaigns. She has helped to place stories in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune Magazine, CNN, Squawk Box, USA Today.
