Robert (Bob) S. Campbell
Robert (Bob) S. Campbell is a Senior Advisor at Hawksbill Group, a diversified business and communications consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. He brings nearly 40 years of specialized experience in product marking, enterprise sales management, public sector procurement and large account planning and strategy.
Bob spent the majority of his career with Southwestern Bell, Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems, SBC Mexico, Pacific Bell Wireless, SBC and AT&T where he helped to launch a new mobile company, worked abroad to oversee deregulation issues and helped to launch digital wireless on the West Coast.
In 1982, Bob was among the first 40 employees hired to start up Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems. In 1996, Bob worked in Mexico with the newly deregulated TelMex to prepare the Government regulated monopoly for competition. In 1997, Bob was part of the team that launched digital wireless service in California and Nevada. Finally, from 1999 to 2008 he ran SBC’s public sector and healthcare vertical sales teams in California. In that capacity his sales teams closed the largest contracts in SBC including L.A. County, San Diego County, Kaiser Permanente and the State of California.
Bob has also served as a Senior Executive Consultant with CGI, Inc, and Affirmed Networks.
Bob has been married for over 40 years. He and his wife Linda have two sons and five grandchildren. Bob graduated from University of Tulsa in 1974 with. B.S. Degree, where he also played football and ran track. In 1985, Bob attended the Harvard University Executive MBA program. Bob is President of The Briar Club, a local 501c3 supporting scholarships for underprivileged students, and a weekend food program for children receiving subsidized school lunches.
