Chris Considine is a Senior Advisor with The Hawksbill Group, a diversified business and communications consulting firm based in Washington, DC. He has a strong track record in strategic planning, brand management, developing acquisitions/alliances, driving innovation and go to market/operational excellence.
Chris began his career more than 30 years ago with Wilson Sporting Goods. During his extensive career there Chris held many positions including spending the last 9 years as President and CEO. Wilson has a dominant position with thousands of elite athletes at all levels around the world, as well as with all major sports organizations: NFL, MLB, NCAA, AVP, USTA, many of which Chris personally negotiated contracts with. Chris is proud to have managed a strong #1 brand that has leading market positions in many sports: Tennis, Baseball, Football, Basketball, Softball, Volleyball, Soccer, Badminton and Golf.
As President and CEO Chris reported to the CEO of Wilson’s parent company Amer Sports. He had full global responsibility with 13 direct reports including five General Managers for sport categories (Racquet Sports, Golf, Baseball, Football, Basketball) and functional Vice Presidents in Human Resources, Finance, Sales, Operations/Manufacturing, R&D, Legal, Marketing and Communications. During his tenure he managed revenues of $750MM, with 45% outside the US, 1700 employees worldwide and three manufacturing locations in U.S. Additionally he was accountable for Distribution, Legal and Financial support in Americas for all Amer brands (Precor, Salomon, Atomic, Arc’Teryx, Suunto).
Chris led the Racquet Sports Division and Team Sports Division to new levels of sales, profitability and market leadership and led the dramatic turnaround of Wilson’s Golf Division.
Chris has also served on the Executive Board of Amer Sports, the Board of the SFIA and the Business Advisory Council of Miami University. Archbishop Hoban High School has honored Chris as a Distinguished Alumnus.
His broad based experience gives him a unique perspective and capability to build partnerships and create value for businesses.
